Privacy Policy
Effective date: 21 July 2026
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NaviDo ("NaviDo", "we", "us", or "our"), developed by Redar Abdulkareem in Türkiye, accesses, collects, uses, stores, transmits, and discloses information when you use the NaviDo mobile application and related services.
Plain-language summary: NaviDo uses account information to let you sign in, task and location information to provide the smart reminders you choose, and purchase information to manage NaviDo Pro. Location may be accessed in the background for enabled Arrive and Leave reminders. We do not sell personal information or use location data for advertising.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create or use an account, we may process your email address, display name, profile photo, authentication provider, Firebase user ID, and email-verification status. If you sign in with Google, Google provides the account information that you authorize.
Tasks, reminders, and saved places
NaviDo may process task titles, descriptions, due dates and times, reminder settings, completion status, saved places and their coordinates, nearby-place categories, and weather, traffic, arrival, or departure rules that you create. This information is stored primarily on your device. When you sign in and use synchronization, account-linked task, reminder, and saved-place information may also be stored using Firebase to provide backup and synchronization. Information may be transmitted to a service provider only when needed to provide a requested feature.
Location data
NaviDo accesses and processes approximate and precise device location after you grant location permission. When you enable location-based reminders, NaviDo may access location in the background, including when the app is closed or not actively in use. Background access is used to keep the Arrive and Leave reminders you selected working at the appropriate place.
NaviDo uses location data only to provide user-requested functionality:
- Detect arrival at or departure from a saved place.
- Deliver Arrive and Leave task reminders.
- Find user-selected nearby categories and calculate approximate distance or walking time.
- Provide location-relevant weather information and weather-aware reminders.
- Estimate routes, traffic conditions, travel time, and appropriate departure time.
- Maintain location reminders selected by the user, even when NaviDo is not open.
To provide these features, coordinates or derived place information may be transmitted securely using HTTPS to NaviDo's Cloudflare backend and to service providers acting on NaviDo's behalf. These providers may include TomTom, Geoapify, LocationIQ, and OpenStreetMap/Overpass services for nearby-place and route information; OpenWeather, WeatherAPI, and Visual Crossing for weather information; Google Maps when you choose to open a result or directions; and Firebase when signed-in synchronization or account services require it.
Saved-place coordinates and location-related task settings may be stored locally on your device and, when signed-in synchronization is used, in Firebase. Nearby, weather, and route responses may be cached temporarily by NaviDo's backend to provide the requested functionality, improve reliability, and reduce repeated requests. Service providers may retain request information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
NaviDo does not sell location data and does not use location data for advertising. Location is not accessed after it is no longer necessary for the enabled feature. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in Android settings. NaviDo remains usable, but location-dependent features such as Arrive, Leave, Nearby, weather, and traffic reminders may not function. You can also delete tasks and saved places in NaviDo and request deletion of your NaviDo account and associated data.
Subscription and purchase information
Google Play processes payments. NaviDo does not receive your full payment card number. We and our subscription-management provider may process your product identifier, purchase history, subscription status, entitlement status, renewal status, expiration date, transaction identifiers, app user ID, and sandbox or production status.
To connect a subscription to the correct NaviDo account, we may send your Firebase user ID, email address, and display name to RevenueCat as subscriber information.
Device, permission, and technical information
NaviDo may process device platform, operating-system version, app version, language, time zone, notification permission status, location permission status, and technical information needed to diagnose errors, secure the service, and deliver app functionality.
Support communications
If you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and technical details needed to answer your request.
2. How we use information
- Create, authenticate, and manage your NaviDo account.
- Provide tasks, reminders, saved places, Nearby, weather, route, and traffic features.
- Send local and push notifications you request.
- Manage NaviDo Free and NaviDo Pro access, purchases, renewals, restoration, and expiration.
- Keep different NaviDo accounts and their subscription access separate.
- Provide customer support and respond to account-deletion requests.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Improve reliability, performance, usability, and localization.
3. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you, with your consent (for example, device permissions), for our legitimate interests in operating and securing NaviDo, and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw permission through your device settings, although some features may then stop working.
4. Service providers and disclosure
We disclose only the information reasonably necessary to service providers that help operate NaviDo. Depending on the features you use, these providers may include:
- Google Firebase and Google Sign-In for authentication, account services, backup, and synchronization.
- Google Play for app distribution, billing, subscription management, and license testing.
- RevenueCat for subscription status, purchase history, entitlements, restoration, and billing events.
- Cloudflare for secure backend processing, abuse protection, and temporary shared caching.
- OpenWeather, WeatherAPI, and Visual Crossing for weather information requested by location-based features.
- TomTom, Geoapify, LocationIQ, OpenStreetMap/Overpass, and Google Maps for route, traffic, map, and nearby-place functionality.
- Hosting, email, and support providers used to operate public pages and respond to requests.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or as part of a lawful business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
5. Data storage and retention
Device-only task and place data remains on your device until you delete it, clear NaviDo's app storage, or uninstall NaviDo. Account, synchronized, and service data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide NaviDo, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or payment obligations.
Temporary nearby, weather, and route cache entries expire according to NaviDo's operational cache policies. Purchase and transaction records may be retained by Google Play, RevenueCat, or us for legally required periods. Backup copies may take a limited time to be removed after deletion.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transmission using HTTPS where data is sent to backend services. No electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and account credentials protected and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information. You may also:
- Change notification and location permissions in device settings.
- Edit or delete tasks and saved places inside NaviDo.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
- Request account and associated-data deletion using NaviDo's Delete Account page or by contacting us.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained when required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or financial recordkeeping.
8. Account deletion and subscriptions
Deleting your NaviDo account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription in Google Play before deleting your account to prevent future renewals. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions.
9. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and applicable legal mechanisms for international transfers.
10. Children's privacy
NaviDo is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as NaviDo changes or legal requirements evolve. We will update the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice when required.
